To honor the holiday of St. Valentine´s Day, students were taught about the typical way Americans celebrate the holiday of romance. Students were presented a Power Point on the history of the holiday, typical gifts exchanged for the occasion, and the way kids prepare for the holiday; all while learning new vocabulary. Next, the students chose a memorable love quote from famous writers such as Voltaire and Shakespeare, and shared their thoughts on the quote. To conclude, students had the opportunity to make their very own, and for some their first, Valentine´s Day card to be delivered to a special classmate.
